The Chamberlain Family

I first met Catherine when she came in for a portrait session last Fall. She loved her photos so much she also bought a gift certificate for a family portrait shoot to give to her mother for her birthday.

We decided to go out to the The Beaches for the photo shoot since you have such versatility in backgrounds there, with the lake, the park and the boardwalk at our disposal it's hard to find a spot that isn't perfect.

The family was great to work with and the kids were so full of energy but also great in front of the camera. There's something about yelling CHEESE at the top of their lungs that really got them into it!

Annakay's Maternity Photos

Annakay is the epitome of "glowing-mom-to-be". She looks amazing pregnant and is incredibly photogenic. I think she was even surprised at how good she looked when she looked through her album.

Hopefully I'll get to meet and photograph her little guy when he arrives in a week or so.

Edina, Lee+ Family

I first met Edina, Lee and Michael when they came for a Maternity photo shoot about 6 months ago. After they received their photos Edina promptly booked me to also shoot their upcoming wedding - I guess they liked what they saw!

As part of their wedding package they also wanted some updated family photos now that little Cody is here and Michael is a very proud big brother. It was great to see them again and meet their newest addition. They are definitely a family full of love and energy and I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding next weekend!

Watch me on The W Network!!!

A few months ago I was asked to be on a reality show called Stuck which follows the progress of a group of women struggling to overcome certain issues in their lives that have caused them to feel "stuck-in-a-rut" so to speak.

I had been the production stills photographer behind the scenes on quite a few of the episodes but this time I was going to be in front of the camera for a change! I was filmed while shooting headshots for Melanie, one of the featured women, who wanted to get back into performing arts.

The whole experience was pretty nerve-wracking for both me and Melanie but it all turned out great and was a really fun day.

The episode is airing this Wednesday, May 27, on the W network at 10pm. Be sure to check it out!

Christy and Aaron's Maternity Photos

I have known Christy for a few years, we used to sing together in "Choir for Hire" an all female back-up singer group that made a few appearances on some local band's CDs and live shows...so much fun!

It's been quite a while since we last performed together and I didn't even know she was pregnant until she contacted me to book the photo session, so of course, it was a great chance to catch up and also finally meet her husband Aaron.

We also managed to take some family pics with their gorgeous, super well behaved dog Junior.

Kristen, David and Max

Kristen and David were given a gift certificate for a photoshoot with me for their baby shower - what a great idea for a gift! ;) so it was lovely to meet them after little Max was born. I have to say, Max was probably one of the easiest babies I've photographed, he was basically either asleep or completely cooperative when awake.
A photographer's dream!

Sonya and Andrew's Wedding

I have known Andrew for many years, as mentioned in my posting of their maternity photos from December 2008. So it was such a pleasure to work with Andrew and Sonya again as their wedding photographer. Having had little Kaya before the wedding makes the whole day a little unconventional from the get go, then throw in Sonya's beautiful chocolate brown dress, Andrew's sung vows, 2 ministers who are Sonya's parent, and an intimate guestlist of 15 people, you end up with quite a unique event to say the least!!!

We really lucked out with the weather that day for being April so we managed to take some great outdoor shots in the park right next to the church without freezing. Even though the trees are still bare, Andrew and Sonya really brought the warmth with their fun-loving personalities.
Congrats guys, it was an honour to be there!

This wedding was definitely the perfect start to my 2009 wedding season.
